Ajay Devgan ‘s movie Raid is the biggest weekend opener after Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Padmaavat. Weekend Collections of Raid is Rupees 41 crore and it crossed the collections of PadMan. Raid released on 16th March 2018 Friday. Though the first-day collection of the movie was slow making 10 crore rupees, momentum increased and collected 13.86 cr on Saturday and 17.11cr on Sunday.

The film stars Ajay Devgn, Ileana D’Cruz and Saurabh Shukla. Raid a period crime drama movie, is directed by Raj Kumar Gupta and it tells the story of an income tax officer in Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh, who takes on the ‘powerful corrupt’  to help the poor peoples in the society.

Noted trade analyst Taran Adarsh shared the numbers on Twitter. He wrote, “Raid gets a THUMBS UP from audiences… Witnesses SOLID GROWTH on Sat + Sun… Strong word of mouth helps multiply numbers, after a mediocre start on Fri morning… Emerges SECOND HIGHEST WEEKEND of 2018… Fri 10.04 cr, Sat 13.86 cr, Sun 17.11 cr. Total: ₹ 41.01 cr. India biz.”

The audience is accepting the romantic role of Ajay Devgn and Ileana D’Cruz. And also loving the role of  Saurabh Shukla as the villain in this movie.

The trend is looking well over the weekend and now it has to sustain on Monday. It has been doing well in North Indian markets so there is a hope that it will hold on weekdays. Ideally, the drop should be under 40% from the opening day which will mark a solid hold and film can sustain for a couple of weeks.

This is to notice that the film only needs to collect more than 70 crores to get the tag of hit and after seeing the box office report it looks like that the film will soon get a tag of a hit. If the film will cross 100 crores then it will be Ajay Devgn’s second back to back 100 crores film after Golmaal Again.

The day wise collections of the film are as follows;

Friday: Rs 10.04-crore

Saturday: Rs 13.86-crore

Sunday: Rs 17.11-crore
